Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move northeast into the early evening hours across mainly the northern Sacramento Valley...the adjacent eastern foothill areas...southern and eastern Shasta County...as well as western Plumas County. Through 730 PM...look for heavier rains to affect areas mainly east of Interstate 5 from near Redding and Red Bluff...northeast toward Paynes creek....Shingletown...Manzanita lake...whitmore...old Station and Burney. Some of the stronger storms impacting these areas will generate locally heavy rain...small hail and gusty winds.
