Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to develop over portions of the Four state area in the warm humid air from deep east Texas into Toledo bend country. The cold front is along I-20 in northeast Texas and runs along the Arkansas Louisiana State Line with isolated activity is developing there. Under any of the strongest storms...expect wind gusts up to 45 miles an hour...small hail and very heavy rainfall. Frequent and deadly cloud to ground lightning is also occurring. Also...heavy rainfall of one to two inches on already wet ground may cause brief flooding on low lying areas and small streams and ponding on roadways. The rain was moving east at 30 mph and will continue through the afternoon along the cold front.
