Lightning storms should start forming mainly east of Orlando by mid to late afternoon as the east coast sea breeze forms and moves west across the coastal areas and collides with the prevailing southwest flow. As the storms move to the northeast at 10 to 15 mph the stronger storms will be capable of producing cloud to ground lightning strikes...wind gusts to 45 mph and locally heavy rain. Boaters and people outdoors should keep an eye to the western sky for approaching weather from mid to late afternoon through the evening. The storms could last well into the night as they have done the past couple of days.
